Where Our Treasure Lies: Balancing Defense and National Prosperity #1579
Where Our Treasure Lies: Balancing Defense and National Prosperity
Where our treasure lies, our heart will follow,
In steel and might, our fears we swallow.
Billions spent on guards of land,
A nation strong, a power grand.
Yet in this quest for skies so clear,
Do we neglect what’s truly dear?
For schools that teach, and roads that pave,
For health, for lives we strive to save.
In choices made, what paths we choose,
What future dreams might we lose?
Debt's heavy hand may come to call,
If we neglect the writing on the wall.
A nation's strength, not just in steel,
But hearts and minds, the commonweal.
Invest in lives, in hopes, in needs,
In every act, in every deed.
To guard with might, and grow with care,
Ensuring dreams for all are fair.
True power found in balance bright,
In day and dark, in wrong and right.
Where our treasure lies, our future waits,
In balanced hands, a bright fate creates.
A path that's wise, both strong and true,
For a prosperous future, for me and you.
