The Humble Gaze of the Gospel #1556

The Humble Gaze of the Gospel In the gospel of Jesus Christ, humanity is seen not through the lens of righteousness, but through the veil of our own distorted lives. We are damaged, hypocritical, for falsehoods and evil weave through the fabric of our existence. The gospel’s gaze is sharp, its spirit a critique and denial of this present world. It speaks of a kingdom that humbles itself, refrains from quarrel, finds contentment in lowliness. In humility, the kingdom of God serves the weak, the sinners, the outcasts. For it is not in grandeur that divinity resides, but in the quiet service to the least among us, reflecting the heart of Heaven. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 30, 2024)
