Bridging Faith's Early Pathways #1595
Bridging Early Christian Divergence: Understanding and Reconciling the Teachings of Jesus' Disciples and Paul
In the early days of faith's bright dawn,
When paths of light by Christ were drawn,
Two voices rose in fervent call,
The disciples' truth, and words of Paul.
Disciples walked where Jesus led,
In Jewish law, their spirits fed,
With hearts aflame, their mission true,
To spread the word the Master knew.
Yet Paul, on roads to Gentile lands,
Held gospel light in different hands,
With visions broad and grace-filled creed,
He sowed the seeds of faith and deed.
In Jerusalem, a council spoke,
To bridge the gap, the ties unbroke,
In harmony, they sought to find,
A way to join both heart and mind.
Through letters penned and journeys made,
The clash of views began to fade,
For in their core, a single aim,
To glorify the Savior’s name.
Unity in diversity,
A path to deep maturity,
Where law and grace together blend,
In Christ, our faith and hopes depend.
Let dialogue and love prevail,
In understanding, we'll not fail,
To see the light in both their call,
The teachings of disciples and Paul.
So, let us walk this bridge of old,
With hearts of faith and spirits bold,
Embracing all, both great and small,
In unity, we've found our call.
