The Living Temple #1574

The Living Temple No temple stands in heaven’s light, no walls to hold His glory bright. God Himself, the Lamb so pure, is the temple, strong and sure. No need for bricks or stones or clay, for in His presence, night turns to day. The city shines with holy fire, and every heart is lifted higher. No more barriers, none to confine. His love flows free, divine. Worship rises, pure and clear, in the place where God is near. In modern times, let churches see that His presence fills both land and sea. Not confined to places grand, but found in the touch of every hand. Where two or three are gathered close, there’s the temple, heaven’s host. In hearts ablaze, His spirit lives, and in the love that each one gives. No temple needed, none to build, for with His presence, hearts are filled. God Almighty and the Lamb reside in every soul, the great I AM. So let us live in hopeful grace, in every time, in every place. For in His love, we are the walls, the living temple, where He calls.
