The Perpetual Bridge #1486

The Perpetual Bridge (The Illusion of Separation) In God’s vast expanse, whispers weave, Separation’s illusion, hard to believe. A tale unfolds in sacred scroll, Of a second son, weary and whole. Awakened truth, his journey starts, Repentance paves, mending hearts. Once lost, now found, embraced with grace, Father’s arms, a warm, safe place. A robe of love, a ring to wear, A feast begins, joy fills the air. But in the shadows, the elder stands, Resentment’s grip in trembling hands. He who stayed, now feels astray, A wanderer, night and day. Grappling with the chasm wide, Justice and mercy, side by side. Heavenly Father, cross held high, Between His sons, He stands nigh. Love’s bridge spans the chasm deep, A call to hearts, awake from sleep. “All I have is yours,” He says, A balm to soothe, a light that stays. The Gospel lives, through ages told, A scene of grace, ever bold. In streets today, the tale revives, Where sixty percent, baptized, strive. Homeless hearts, seeking a home, In God’s presence, never alone. The cross, a bridge, perpetual, grand, Invites each soul to His loving hand. Come home, find rest, in the Divine, In God’s embrace, forever shine. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 24, 2024)
