Compassionate Reflection* #1493

Compassionate Reflection In our interactions, remember the light, The good deeds done, even when mistakes shadow bright. "Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, But miss the beam in your own?" we hear Jesus sigh. Hypocrisy stands tall, fingers pointing wide, While our own greater faults, we often hide. Life's blessings, delicate as fur, slip through our grasp, Elusive and fleeting, like an unheld clasp. Disasters, immense as the earth, loom near, Unavoidable shadows, feeding our fear. Judge not with harsh eyes, for we all bear beams and specks, Within us, blessings and challenges interconnect. In the dance of human experience, compassion leads the way, Reflect with kindness, let understanding sway. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 24, 2024)
