Eternal Shadows and New Creation #1583
Eternal Shadows and New Creation
In shadows cast from days gone by,
We find our present, reasons why.
Visions born of yesternight,
Not from future's distant light.
Isaiah calls, “Forget the past,
For new things come, these shadows cast.”
In wilderness, a way appears,
Streams in wasteland, drying tears.
Paul’s call to leave what lies behind,
Press onward with a hopeful mind.
Past failures, triumphs, they all fade,
Towards the prize, we are conveyed.
In Christ, a new creation stands,
The old is gone, by His hands.
Revelation’s promise true,
“All things new,” a world anew.
God’s time, a thousand years a day,
His plans, eternal, far outweigh.
Temporal bounds, they fall apart,
In His hands, the world, the heart.
A ghost that weaves through time and space,
Past’s embrace, a tender grace.
Visions blend from shadows cast,
Shaping future, healing past.
In collapse of time, we see,
God’s eternal tapestry.
Past, present, future, all align,
In His purpose, so divine.
New creation, here and now,
In Christ, to Him, our knees we bow.
Redemption’s song, a fervent plea,
In shadows, light, our destiny.
Embrace the past, the shadows hold,
God’s truth, His story told.
From shadows, springs the new creation,
In His love, our transformation.
