Reflections of Grace and Judgment #1495

Reflections of Grace and Judgment When someone does something wrong, don't forget the things they did right. Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? Hypocrisy stands tall, pointing to minor flaws, sins, in others, while your own sins loom, vast and glaring. Man's blessing, lighter than a fur, Delicate, ephemeral, slipping through fingers, unknown how to keep. Yet, disaster, heavier than the earth, A shadow, a weight, pressing down, Unavoidable, creeping in unnoticed. In the quiet of reflection, Pause, remember the good, See the light amid the shadows. Judge not with harsh eyes, For beams and specks reside in all, And blessings and disasters dance together in life's intricate weave. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 24, 2024)
