Bridging with Love #1546
Bridging with Love
In threads of race and creed entwined,
We stand where shadows try to bind.
Division's threat, a looming night,
Yet in this darkness, seek the light.
As Eleanor’s wisdom warns us here,
Pit race 'gainst race, let’s shed that fear.
Religion 'gainst religion's might,
Prejudice breeds endless night.
In Christ, no Jew, no Gentile stands,
No slave, no free, in unity's hands.
A symphony of souls embrace,
A chorus filled with boundless grace.
Jesus, our peace, the walls He broke,
Hostility's chains in mercy's yoke.
One new humanity He made,
Reconciliation, His serenade.
Just as the body, many parts,
In Spirit, one, we join our hearts.
Favoritism’s chains, cast aside,
In humble hearts, let love abide.
Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with God,
For justice flows where mercy's trod.
Promote diversity’s embrace,
Create a sanctuary of grace.
Heal wounds of history, reconcile,
Through dialogue, forgiveness, trial.
Rejecting prejudice, we strive,
For every soul to truly thrive.
Repentance lights the vision’s spark,
The Holy Spirit’s guiding arc.
Turning from divisive ways,
We seek renewal, brighter days.
Torchbearers of unity, we stand,
Bridging chasms with love’s hand.
In shared humanity, find the way,
To grace, strength, and brighter day.
