Echoes of the Gospel: A Call to Authentic Faith #1137
Echoes of the Gospel: A Call to Authentic Faith
In the age of Jesus, gospel voices soared across lands,
Proclaiming God's word with open hearts, to all sands.
Not bound by belief, their message was a universal call,
Now, some preach to chosen few, not to one and all.
Remember the Holy Spirit, the core of Christ's decree,
Without this breath, the gospel floats adrift at sea.
It’s not merely of the gospel we speak, but through our deeds we preach,
A harmony of actions and words, this is what we’re meant to teach.
For Jesus spoke of leaders, adorned in piety’s guise,
Who mouthed holy verses but lived in disguise.
"So practice and observe," He warned with clarity,
"But follow not their footsteps, who preach but do not see."
Let us then weave our actions with threads of our spoken word,
Let the Spirit guide us, in us, His voice be heard.
For to live the gospel, in fullness and in truth,
Is to walk in His steps, in agelessness and youth.
