Mercy's Embrace #579

Mercy's Embrace Beneath the canopy of time, where shadows dance, And grace's light in silent heartbeats does advance. A tale of Cain and Abel, dark and deep, Yet in God's mercy, a love so wide, so steep. A mark of safety, in the night a guiding light, Shows vengeance rests not in our mortal fight. Divine compassion, vast as skies above, A testament to unyielding, enduring love. Then comes Jesus, with words like seeds sown, "Bless those who curse you," a grace unknown. On the cross, amidst pain, a forgiveness found, "Father, forgive them,"—such words astound. Through time's corridor, this call to see, Each other not as strangers, but family to be. Paul’s voice joins, in the symphony of life, Reminding us, in our joys and in our strife: No man an island, alone and apart, Every sin, every grace, a piece of the heart. This journey beyond, where forgiveness reigns, Where divine mercy washes away the stains. So let us walk with hearts open and wide, Share this message of mercy, be each other's guide. For in the divine embrace, we find our way, To a dawn where love's light forever will stay. In shadows and light, let us find our place, In the eternal dance, in mercy's embrace. Together we journey, through time's vast expanse, In the heart of mercy, our spirits dance. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 16, 2024)
