Whispers of the Divine #698

Whispers of the Divine In the heart where whispers dwell, Lies a truth, profound to tell: What the world deems weak and small, Holds the power to transcend all. Beneath the clamor of our days— The rush for wealth, the empty praise, Lurks a gospel, stark, inverse, Turning every blessing to a verse. Technological feats, towers tall, Financial might, before it falls, Strategic minds, media's call, In God's eyes, they matter not at all. For in the scripture, words divine, 1 Corinthians draws the line: The foolish things, the weak, the slight, Are chosen to unveil His might. This paradox, not just a creed, But a way to live, to plant the seed Of value in what's overlooked, In simple lives, in open books. It's an invitation, clear and bright, To see beyond the world's false light, To find beauty in what's deemed less, And in humility, find blessedness. So let us ponder, let us seek, The divine in the meek, And in our lives, let these truths peak: In God's love, we're all unique. This prose, now a poem, takes its flight, A call to live in the divine's sight, Where what's valued is not might, But the heart that walks in light. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 28, 2024)
