Echoes of the Sacred: A Prose Poem on the Interconnectedness of Being #705

Echoes of the Sacred: A Prose Poem on the Interconnectedness of Being In the silent cadence of our being, a whisper: "Our lives are not our own." A truth, ancient, echoing through the marrow of our souls, Jeremiah's words a lantern in the vast night, illuminating the path where self merges with the all. This realization, tender as the first light of dawn, invites us to dance, to weave our essence with the threads of others, in a tapestry where love and care are the warp and weft of existence. Upon the altar of our flesh, the Holy Spirit finds a dwelling, transforming the mundane into a temple, sacred and resplendent. With the wisdom of Corinthians as our guide, we learn to honor this temple, to treat our bodies as sanctuaries where every breath is an act of worship, every action a hymn of reverence. Here, in the sanctity of our physical selves, we are called to stewardship, to purity, a living testament to the divine within. Liberated in Christ, we step beyond the shadows, where fear and death lose their grip, their power over us undone by the promise of eternity. This freedom, a beacon in the darkness, beckons us to live with a courage unfettered by the temporal, to align our spirits with the eternal, where righteousness and truth are our north stars, guiding us home. Yet, amidst this divine symphony, a caution: Let not our bodies become dens for thieves, markets where souls are bartered. Inspired by the zeal of Christ cleansing the temple, we are summoned to purify our intentions, to cleanse our actions. It is a call to remember the sanctity of our being, to refuse the desecration of our spirit with the currency of selfish gain, to live, instead, in the sacred space that honors God with every thought, every deed. In this proclamation, we find a prose poem of existence, a declaration of our interconnectedness, our sacred duty to each other and to the divine. It is a song of unity, of purpose, woven into the very fabric of our being. As we navigate the complexity of life, we do so with a commitment to live in loving service, in harmony with God's will, our every moment an act of devotion, a testament to our faith in Christ. This is our poem, our truth, sung with the whole of our hearts, as we journey together through the infinite dance of creation. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 29, 2024)
