Mercy's Echo: A Reflection on Judas and Divine Forgiveness #700

Mercy's Echo: A Reflection on Judas and Divine Forgiveness Beneath the vast, starlit dome where whispers of the divine softly roam, Lies the tale of Judas, entwined with repentance, a path he alone had to comb. With thirty silver coins, sorrow's tune, the weight of betrayal, a heavy boon. "I have sinned," to the darkness, he confessed, A soul in turmoil, in guilt dressed. Seeking forgiveness, a heart oppressed, Into the night, his plea was pressed. A path shrouded in shadows, a fate untold, His final act, in despair, bold. Yet, amidst the silence, a question, cold: Can mercy reach a heart that's sold? Divine forgiveness, an ocean deep, Promises of grace, for all who seek. No sin too vast, no soul too weak, In the arms of mercy, solace we reap. Judas's tale, more than betrayal, A story of seeking, beyond the veil. Each heart a battlefield, where we may fail, Yet forgiveness waits, with grace to avail. For who among us hasn't sought the light, Whispered for forgiveness in the night? The divine, with mercy ever so bright, Offers redemption, a guiding sight. In Judas's story, a reflection wide, Of human frailty, of mercy's tide. It's a narrative of hope, with grace as the guide, A reminder: in love, we can confide. For the divine knows no limit, no end to grace, Forgiveness vast as the stars in space. Even in darkness, love we can trace, In mercy's echo, peace we embrace. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 29, 2024)
