In the Vineyard of Our Collective Soul #625
In the Vineyard of Our Collective Soul
In ancient whispers, time's embrace,
A vineyard lies, a sacred space.
Isaiah's song, through centuries, calls,
A plea for justice, in echoing halls.
A metaphor rich, with depth profound,
Where greed and decay are tightly wound.
The land, the people, in divine sight,
Yearn for the dawn, away from the night.
Amidst the vines, a truth is told,
Of wealth amassed, hearts left cold.
A critique of now, as it was then,
A call to action, for all women and men.
Justice, righteousness, not far-flung dreams,
But the essence of life, or so it seems.
Equity, fairness, foundations to lay,
For a community's spirit, to light the way.
This ancient story, a path it weaves,
Through repentance and change, the soul believes.
A transformation, from within to without,
A journey of faith, beyond any doubt.
The vineyard waits, not for one, but for all,
For hands to tend, to answer the call.
Sustainable stewardship, a balance to find,
For prosperity's promise, to all of mankind.
Inspired by wisdom, from ages past,
A blueprint for the future, vast.
A world of justice, righteousness, care,
In the vineyard of our soul, a collective prayer.
