Echoes of Silence #692

Echoes of Silence In history's shadow, 'neath cross and gavel's weight, A silence falls, deep and deliberate. Fulfilling ancient whispers, destiny's quiet bait, A servant suffers, silent, the world's sins to abate. His lips sealed, not by fear, but by prophecy's hand, A lamb led to slaughter, in silence He stands. Not a word against falsehood, His mission grand, Sovereignty displayed, not in commands, but in silence's land. This quiet, a judgment, an invitation too, To those deaf to truth, His presence a clue. A silent witness to authority, pure and true, In the quiet of the courtroom, a divine view. Contrast stark with today's legal dance, Where rights and defenses in abundance prance. Yet in His trial, no fair chance, A night-time judgment, a swift advance. But in this contrast, a deeper call, To ponder justice, truth, and the silent pall. His silent witness, a love that enthralls, A sovereignty that in quiet, transcends all. In His silence, a powerful declaration, Of grace and truth, beyond mere narration. Through ages it echoes, a divine proclamation, In the quiet, a resounding affirmation. So let us reflect in this silent space, On divine love, sovereignty, and grace. In the echo of His silence, let our hearts trace The depth of His mission, the warmth of His embrace. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 27, 2024)
