The Feast of Faith #650
The Feast of Faith
In the quiet spaces of our hearts,
Where whispers of wisdom gently part,
Lies a truth, simple yet profound,
A beacon, in the darkest grounds.
Though our grasp on the gospel may seem slight,
A flicker, not yet a blazing light,
Embrace the path, the divine invite,
And weary souls shall find respite.
For like a meal, rich and divine,
God's will, a feast, on which we dine,
Sustains the spirit, makes it shine,
An endless source, both sweet and fine.
Jesus spoke, amidst the sands and stone,
"My food," He said, "is to make known
The will of Him who calls me His own,
And in His work, my purpose is shown."
Neglect this meal, and the soul shall find,
A hunger, deep, of the spiritual kind,
Starved of the bread and the wine designed,
To fill the heart, the soul, the mind.
So let us dine, on this feast so grand,
With faith as our guide, hand in hand,
For in God's will, we understand,
The nourishment that truly expands.
Embrace the journey, step by step,
In God's love, deeply we are kept,
Through every tear we have wept,
In His grace, we leap and leapt.
This is the feast, the call, the way,
Where strength and peace in the heart lay,
In following Him, without delay,
We find our joy, our light, our day.
So come, dear friends, let's share this bread,
On paths of righteousness, we are led,
By every word that God has said,
In His love, forever spread.
