Feast of the Open Heart* #489

Feast of the Open Heart (The Banquet of Hearts: An Invitation Unbound) In life’s hustle, a silent tale begins to weave, A master’s banquet, an invite we scarcely believe. Laid with care, for many, yet first, none adhere, Lost in tomorrow, today’s feast they fear. Undeterred, the master’s heart, wide and deep, Calls to the forgotten, those the world does not keep. “Come from the shadows, from life’s harsh street, You, the unseen, in my hall, please take your seat.” Poor, broken, shunned, to his feast, they’re led, A table of grace, where all souls are fed. His vision, a dream, a divine decree, A banquet for all, from shackles free. This master, a beacon of mercy and grace, In his embrace, we find our place. His table, wide, an open door, Where last become first, and rich are no more. This tale, a call, to live and love wide, In God’s kingdom, where none are denied. Not just tomorrow, but now, today, To spread the feast, to live the way. Let this poem, a gentle, loving plea, To live in love, to set hearts free. Extend the invite, let none be alone, In the master’s heart, let every soul find home. So, let us live, this banquet to share, A world of love, beyond compare. Where every heart, in unity weaves, In the banquet of hearts, where love achieves. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 7, 2024)
