Echoes of Truth and Mercy #606
Echoes of Truth and Mercy
In the midst of gathered crowds, beneath the open sky,
Where whispered winds carry the wisdom of the wise,
A gathering of souls, in search of truth, they come,
Listening with ears intent, but their hearts, to deceit, succumb.
"Behold," says the voice of ages, deep and profound,
"Those who claim devotion, yet in their actions are not bound.
With lips of loyalty and love, they speak, oh, so sweet,
But in the shadows of their hearts, selfish desires beat."
And from the heavens, a reckoning, divine and just, descends,
For in the denial of sins, their false innocence pretends.
"I have not sinned," they claim, a chorus of the blind,
Igniting the fires of judgment, to their deeds, they're intertwined.
Yet, in this moment tense, a challenge stark is thrown,
To those with stones in hands, their flaws fully shown.
"Who among you, pristine, shall cast the first stone?"
A call to introspection, in their hearts deeply sown.
For who can claim perfection, in this world of shade and light?
Who stands unblemished, in the all-seeing eye of the night?
It's a plea for mercy, in judgment, to be kind,
Understanding the fallible nature of humankind.
Thus, in words ancient, a lesson timeless rings,
Of the chasm wide between the said and the wings
Of actions true, where the heart's intentions lie,
Under the watchful gaze of the ever-vigilant sky.
Let us then tread softly, in judgment and in deed,
For in each heart lies a garden, where compassion should seed.
In understanding and mercy, may our actions be dressed,
For in humility and love, our souls find their rest.
