Dance of Light and Shadows #533

Dance of Light and Shadows In the heart where shadows grow, Values fray and virtues low, Psalms echo with despair, Streets cry out, a common share. Sin, like bubbles, fragile, fleeting, Fear of bursting, fear of meeting, James speaks of desire's seed, Sin to death, a path decreed. Yet, in darkness, hope's embrace, 1 John's promise, forgiveness, grace. Confession's dance, a cleansing flood, From stains of past, emerges bud. Malachi's sun, with healing rays, Lifts us out, from shadowed haze. Free as calves, in open fields, To joy and light, our spirit yields. Philippians' call, a solemn tone, Salvation's path, ours alone. With fear and trembling, steps are sown, In this journey, growth is grown. Let us share, this woven verse, From shadows to light, together traverse. A dance of hope, of love's rehearse, In light and shadows, our universe. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 10, 2024)
