Obedience and Grace: The Path of Christ #184

Obedience and Grace: The Path of Christ In the garden of Gethsemane's night, Under stars that watched, dimmed by divine light, Christ knelt, burdened with a cosmic plea, Embodying filial piety. "Father, if willing, remove this cup from Me, Yet not My will, but Yours be done," said He. A son's obedience, profound, sincere, In the shadow of the cross, drew near. This act of submission, love's true test, Showed filial devotion at its best. Through pain and sorrow, betrayal's kiss, Christ chose the path leading to our bliss. Divine will, unfathomable, yet clear, In Christ's surrender, it draws near. A lesson of faith, of love's pure might, Guiding us through our darkest night. So let us walk in His footsteps true, With hearts devoted, our vows renew. To honor both the Father and the Son, Till our journey on this earth is done. Filial piety and divine decree, In Christ's sacrifice, forever we see. A beacon of hope, of mercy's embrace, Leading us home, to our final resting place. -Written by Steven G. Lee (February 2, 2024)
