Divine Allegiance: The Heart's True Call #183
Divine Allegiance: The Heart's True Call
In verses deep, where faith's roots twine,
Matthew's words, a divine design.
"Household bonds, though strong they seem,
Must bow before the higher dream."
"A man's foes, his kin may be,
If Me above them, he does not see.
Not worthy, if to kin clings tight,
Over My love, their hearts alight."
For true is the piety that in faith resides,
Where God's love, in the heart abides.
Beyond mere obedience, the call rings clear,
To honor the divine, with reverence dear.
The fifth commandment, a bridge of light,
Between love for God and parental sight.
Yet, higher still the mandate soars,
God's will above, the heart explores.
In crucifixion's shadow, the path laid bare,
Suffering and sacrifice, a cross to bear.
This journey of faith, a transformative quest,
In God's love and will, our souls find rest.
The commandments twain, a guide to trove,
To love God and others, in harmony wove.
The fifth, a pivot, where human and divine align,
A call to honor, in the heart's sacred shrine.
This radical reevaluation of life's decree,
Places God at the center, in Him we're free.
A divine-centered piety, the scripture's plea,
In faith, love, and devotion, let our hearts be.
So let us walk this path with grace,
God's will at the forefront, His love our embrace.
In every trial, His strength our guide,
With a filial heart, in His peace we abide.
