Harmony of Hearts: Echoes Beyond the Altar #349*
Harmony of Hearts: Echoes Beyond the Altar
In the hallowed echoes of gospel whispers,
where struggles intertwine with souls beside us,
we find the essence of a truth most profound—
that our neighbors' burdens are ours to surround.
Through the parable woven in Luke's tender words,
a call to action quietly stirs.
"I yearn for mercy," declares the Divine,
in scriptures old and tales that intertwine.
Not sacrifices on altars laid,
but justice, kindness, in daylight displayed.
Through Christ's embrace, a mercy seat unfurled,
God's compassion touching the world.
In grace and mercy, our salvation found,
beyond the rites, to love we're bound.
Mark's verses echo, a directive clear,
to love God and neighbor, drawing them near.
In Luke's narrative, the truth is explored,
a neglect of love, a connection ignored.
Estrangement follows, a path astray,
toward pursuits hollow, in disarray.
Greed and self, a competition fierce,
honor and power, hearts to pierce.
Yet, amidst the clamor, a contrast stark,
in Corinthians' words, a divine mark.
The eternal over fleeting gain,
a gospel truth to regain.
In empathy and interconnectedness we stand,
over rituals, a higher command.
Together, in a tapestry divine,
our souls in harmony, intertwined.
