In the Midst of Markets #311

In the Midst of Markets In the bustling markets of our days, Where wealth and worth seem one, A whisper calls through time and space, To remind us what truly weighs a ton. Not gold, nor glittering success, Can measure the heart's true gain. For Jesus taught, through life's stress, True wealth in spirit, we ascertain. Blessed are the meek, the pure, the poor, Their kingdom not of earth but sky. In humility, love, and much more, Our richest treasures lie. Let us walk with gentle stride, In markets loud, our souls abide, By principles of love and light, Guided by faith, not by sight. May we strive, not just for gold, But for the warmth when hands we hold. For in each act of love, bold, Eternal riches we unfold. So here's a call to friends, to all, In Christ's love, we stand tall. Let's share this journey, break the wall, With hearts wide open, heed the call. In the midst of markets, let's be clear, Our true wealth lies not in what we gather here. But in the love, the joy, the tear, Of walking together, year by year. So let our lives, our actions show, The depth of faith within us flow. In Christ's love, let us grow, And in our hearts, His riches sow. -Written Steven G. Lee (February 16, 2024)
