Living Faith: A Poetic Embrace of the Gospel's Call #332

Living Faith: A Poetic Embrace of the Gospel's Call In whispered truths, the gospel calls, A beacon bright in night's deep thrall. A power vast, transformative, To hearts open, receptive, alive. Some may resist, turn away their gaze, Yet others find in its depths, a blaze Of action over words, a guiding light, Jesus with sinners, love's pure sight. Not just words, but actions speak, Of God’s love, strong, not weak. A table shared, grace unfurled, A message lived in a weary world. The crucifixion, stark, profound, Not rhetoric, but truth unbound. A legacy of teachings, love's endurance, A path of sacrifice, of pure assurance. Deep within the gospel's frame, Faith and action, not just name. Grace and mercy, intertwined, Truth and reality, redefined. The cross stands, not just symbol, but fact, A foundation firm, a sacred pact. Hold fast to truth, to the cross's essence, For in its shadow, lies the gospel's presence. A gospel drifted from truth and light, Is but a shadow, lost to night. Let us live, embody, the teachings given, In every act, our lives rewritten. This journey of faith, of action, of love, Guided by grace from realms above. A beacon of hope, transformation's call, In the gospel's embrace, we find our all. "Embodying the Gospel: A Journey of Faith and Action," anew, A poem of devotion, for me, for you. -Written by Steven G. Lee (February 17, 2024)
