Echoes of True Worth: A Legacy Unveiled #341
Whispers of Legacy: A Reflection on Life's True Wealth
In the twilight of existence, under a fading sky,
A humble farmer's final days quietly draw nigh.
With a heart brimming, hands empty, yet full of love,
He bestows upon his sons gifts from the heavens above.
To the eldest, an ox, sturdy, ready to till the land,
To the second, a horse, swift, a symbol of freedom grand.
Yet to the youngest, a gift of a different kind,
A child from the streets, a treasure for a compassionate mind.
What is the measure of wealth? he softly implores,
Is it in beasts of burden or something that soars?
Life's true essence, he whispers, is not what we own,
But the love we give, the kindness we've shown.
The shepherd of lore, in shadows he treads,
Laying down his life for his sheep, as the scripture reads.
A mirror to the farmer's tale, a parallel drawn,
A life for others, in the breaking dawn.
This tale, a beacon in our tumultuous sea,
Urges us to look beyond what our eyes can see.
For in the fabric of existence, interwoven, tight,
Are the bonds of love, glowing ever bright.
May this poem serve as a reminder, a gentle nudge,
To cherish life's true wealth, from which we mustn't budge.
For in the end, it's the love we share, the lives we touch,
That stand as our legacy, our wealth, our crutch.
