Mercy's Dawn #420

Mercy's Dawn In the hush before dawn's light, Promises whisper, soft and bright. Created in an image divine, Mercy's call, forever thine. Hands reach out, not to chide, But in grace, they open wide. To those in shadow, pain, and fear, Mercy shines, ever clear. Beneath the cross, where love did bleed, A beacon for every deed. Forgiveness flows, not from our well, But through us, in Him, we dwell. Through Mercy's lens, the Word we see, Prayers echo this decree. Without Mercy, love is bare, Peace finds no harbor there. God's mercy, vast and deep, A promise He does keep. Renewing with the morning's light, Great is His faithfulness, ever bright. "I desire mercy," Jesus said, Not sacrifice, but love instead. Heart over habit, compassion's plea, Mercy's dance, let us be. Bearers of this divine flame, Let our lives proclaim His name. In mercy's glow, we find our way, Love's true path, day by day. So forth we walk, in mercy's light, Illuminating paths so bright. For all who wander, lost in night, Mercy's dawn, ever right. Written Steven G. Lee (February 29, 2024)
