Whispers of the Cross: A Poetic Journey Through Death and Life #386
Whispers of the Cross: A Poetic Journey Through Death and Life
In the shadow of the cross, where wood graces sky,
Life and death, in their dance, dare to defy.
A paradox profound, in splintered grain lies,
Where nails and flesh, in somber union, devise
A mystery unveiled, a curtain torn through,
In the cross's embrace, old becomes anew.
Here, at the cradle of eternity's dawn,
Where the lamb, silent, bore the world's scorn,
Life is not merely breath, nor death an end,
But threads in a tapestry, divinely penned.
In the cross’s arms, life extinguishes,
Yet in this holy demise, true life flourishes.
Take up thy cross, the whispered call resounds,
In its burden, a peculiar freedom abounds.
Deny thyself, let the grain fall and die,
For only through death, does life multiply.
The kingdom of God, a treasure unseen,
Within reach, through the cross, where it's always been.
This cross, a bridge spanning chasm so wide,
Uniting heaven and earth, in the crucified.
The will of the heavens, on earthly soil sown,
Through surrendered hearts, where His love is shown.
In this divine paradox, let us find our part,
Carrying our crosses, with undivided heart.
So, let us journey, with the cross at our fore,
Through its mystery, our souls to explore.
For in its shadow, true life is confessed,
In death, we find life, and in surrender, blessed.
The cross, our beacon, in night as in day,
Guides us home, where love's eternal sway.
