Where Shadows Fade #1259
Where Shadows Fade
(Mercy in the Twilight)
In the dimming light, I cry,
O LORD, my spirit frail and faint.
My eyes, clouded by tears,
Grief's tendrils wrap my weary bones.
Hours consumed by silent anguish,
Years marked with ceaseless groans,
My strength wanes like a river dry,
Beneath afflictions heavy stones.
Where are the nine, vanished like mist?
Yet still I rise, to paths unknown,
A flicker of hope guides my way,
Through shadows where the lost have roamed.
Be gracious, God, in Your vast mercy,
Wash my sins, like morning dew.
Here I bow, low and longing,
For Your kindness to renew.
Your compassion vast as oceans,
Lifts each stain, clears every mark.
In Your arms, find me solace,
Light my way out of the dark.
