The Gift of Spiritual Simplicity #1253
The Gift of Spiritual Simplicity
Seek first the kingdom, where divine purpose blooms.
Let the spirit of contentment be your mantle,
woven with threads of faith and trust.
For the world is full of wants—
hungry illusions devouring peace.
But the Spirit, like a gentle river, flows
through valleys where the smallest lilies grow,
where bread is shared beneath a canopy of grace,
where the heart finds rest beside the still waters.
Simplicity stands tall as a tree,
rooted in the sacred soil of surrender,
bearing fruit that whispers:
Bring nothing but your thirst to be quenched;
leave your treasures and toil,
for life is not measured by what fills your hands,
but by what overflows from your spirit.
Better the smallest lamp, lit by the fear of the Lord,
than the brightest blaze of gold that burns with worry.
Better a crumb of wisdom, wrapped in humility,
than a feast that leaves the soul famished.
For when the Spirit of the Living God rests upon you,
the world becomes smaller—its noise fades away,
and in its place, the symphony of grace.
A crowning reward: the harmony of peace,
the dance of joy, the echo of love.
Simplicity, the final achievement,
gifts you freedom from what you never needed.
Your heart is uncluttered, open,
ready to receive what is everlasting.
