The Echo of Peace #1203

The Echo of Peace If we do not silence the relentless drums of war, they will inevitably silence us. Echoing through time are the words of Jesus, a humble carpenter from Nazareth, who calls us to a profound transformation: from the harsh clash of iron and the tragic spill of blood to the gentle mending of broken hearts and the firm joining of hands in solidarity. "Return your sword to its place," he counseled those caught in the storms of conflict, "for all who take up the sword will perish by it." His words spark a quiet revolution—not one fought with armies clashing under banners, but a revolution of the spirit, where reconciliation triumphs over conquest. Let us, then, set aside our weapons and extend our open hands to one another, transforming our swords into tools that build rather than destroy. If we allow war to define our future, it will surely write our end. But if we choose the path of peace, we have the power to forge a new legacy—a future where war has no place, and peace reigns supreme. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 6, 2024)
