A Call to Faith: Peace! Be Still! #1257

A Call to Faith: Peace! Be Still! "Teacher, do you not care if we perish?" The tempest rages, and the boat lurches on, swallowed by waves and doubt. "Peace! Be still!" He commands, His voice quelling the storm's fury. "Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?" A whisper among the crashing swells, turning fear into calm, a promise that the waters will not drown. God's power finds strength in frailty, perfection nestled deep in weakness. The sign of this age, a carcass in the wilderness, where vultures descend, circling the desolation below. The false prophet claims wisdom, drawing the desperate near, but smoke clouds the air, the truth will reveal itself like dawn, cutting through the darkness with unflinching light. "What is truth?" Pilate asks, but truth stands silent before him, a beacon amid the lies. Prophets who see no vision and predict only ruin will falter, shamed by their own deceit, cast aside as hollow vessels. The false Christs and prophets will come, cloaked in wonders, their voices sweet and their signs alluring, yet empty promises and twisted words will deceive the very elect. But faith stands firm as an anchor against the tide, undaunted by the shifting seas and roaring winds, clinging to a power that perfects even the weakest soul, finding solace in His words, "Peace! Be still!" Written by Steven G. Lee (May 10, 2024)
