The Silence of the Savior #522

The Silence of the Savior In the woven whispers of His walk, Amidst the clamor of unclean spirits, He, the Light, chose silence over talk, A directive, divine and explicit. For in the shadows, deceit can dance, Cloaked in the guise of luminous grace, Satan, the pretender, takes his stance, Masquerading as an angelic face. Yet, within the hallowed verses of Mark, Lies a wisdom, profound and stark: The silence of spirits, commanded by He, A Messiah's secret, meant to be. He sought not the herald of demons dark, Nor the misunderstood shout in the stark, But through His deeds, His words, His sacrifice, He would unveil the path to paradise. A lesson in discernment, a call to the wise, To see beyond the masquerade of lies. For true wisdom lies not in the loud, But in the quiet truth, humbly avowed. So let us tread, with eyes on the Word, Where His true voice can be heard. In the silence, in the still, There, His presence, our hearts fill. A poetry of faith, of discernment keen, In His footsteps, let our paths be seen. For in the quiet, in the calm, Lies the strength of His healing balm. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 9, 2024)
