Seeking Truth: A Journey Beyond #568

Seeking Truth: A Journey Beyond In lands where lions green grass graze, And cows in shadows hunt and laze, A question whispers, soft and slight, What is the truth in nature's light? Pilate pondered, cloaked in power, In judgment's heavy, fleeting hour. "What is truth?" his refuge cried, Amidst the storm, his doubt to hide. From turmoil's grasp, a voice did rise, Proclaiming freedom 'neath the skies. "In truth's embrace, you'll find your flight, From chains of ignorance, into the light." Yet Pilate walked a different path, Seeking calm amidst the wrath. His truth, a shield from riot's roar, A quest for peace, and nothing more. Here we stand, in Pilate's shoes, With myriad paths from which to choose. Is truth a rock, steadfast, unbowed, Or a river's course, by context flowed? In every heart, the question rings, Amongst the simple, complex things. Truth, a journey, ever long, A dance, a shadow, a silent song. So let us seek with open eyes, Past horizons, 'neath the skies. For in our quest, our hearts will find, The truth that sets us free, unbind. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 15, 2024)
