Sanctuary Within #564

Sanctuary Within (Temple of the Soul) In lands where temples touch the sky, Stones whisper prayers as clouds drift by. Yet beyond these walls of time and space, Lies a temple of a different grace. This sacred vessel, flesh and bone, Houses a spirit, purely sown. More hallowed than the gold-adorned doors, Is the human heart, where divinity soars. Breath hymns in the air, movements divine, Our very being, a sacred shrine. Not to stones or gold do we bow, But to the soul's temple, here and now. In the pages of faith, a story is told, Of a temple defiled by the love of gold. He, with divine fire in His eyes, Cleansed the sacred space under open skies. Overturned tables, scattered coins on the floor, A testament to what we should adore. Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John, Echo His deed, forever drawn. This act, a reflection for our soul's mirror, To cleanse our temples, make the divine clearer. Cast out vanity, superficial desires, Light within us, those holy fires. Let our hearts be altars, our thoughts prayers, Our deeds reflections of the divine cares. In His indignation, a lesson so bold, To cherish the spirit more than gold. So let each moment be an act of worship, Each breath, a pledge to the soul's kinship. For in this journey, both vast and deep, It's the temple of the soul we're called to keep. Written by Steven G.
