Intersections of Light #498

Intersections of Light In the quiet halls of thought where ancient echoes speak, There lies a woven tapestry of inquiry, Philosophy, with its timeless quest, begins, A dance of reason under the starlit skies, From Thales to Aristotle, a lineage unfolds, Seeking the essence hidden in the folds of existence. Then enters Theology, robed in the mysteries of the divine, A dialogue with the heavens, where faith and reason intertwine, Saints and scholars, Augustine and Aquinas, Charting a course through the sea of belief, Where revelation and scripture light the path, A journey inward, to the heart of the sacred. In this meeting, a common quest is found, A pursuit for truth, where questions abound, The nature of being, the ethics of life, A shared wonder at the cosmos's strife. Though their tools differ, their spirit is the same, A longing to understand, to name the unnamed. The future beckons with questions anew, Philosophy ponders the ethical hues of technological hue, While Theology seeks to embrace, A world diverse, without losing its grace. Together, they walk, towards tomorrow's light, Guiding humanity through the night. So let us gather, friends, and muse, Over coffee, let our thoughts fuse, Discussing the dance of philosophy and theology, In the evolving narrative of human ecology. For in their dialogue, we find, A reflection of our collective mind. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 7, 2024)
