In the Quiet of Our Hearts #528

In the Quiet of Our Hearts In the hush that falls between the asking and the giving, where signs are sought like stars in the night, there stands a single beacon, unwavering, unyielding: the Cross of Christ, a testament of sacrifice and light. In the whispering winds, Galatians speaks, a gentle reminder of two paths diverged in a wood of flesh and spirit. To sow in the latter is to harvest eternity, a call to elevate our desires beyond the earth's limit. Mark’s gospel sings a melody of service, of a King not seated on high, but kneeling with basin and towel. He who came not to be served but to serve, and in His giving, taught us the power of a life so humble and royal. Matthew’s voice rises, a clarion call to follow, bearing crosses not as burdens, but as bridges to the divine. A journey marked not by the ease of the path trodden, but by the footprints left in love, a legacy sublime. So, let us walk together, in faith, service, and sacrifice, following the footsteps of the One who walked this journey first. For in the embrace of the cross, in the echo of His voice, we find our purpose, our call, a thirst for living waters to quench our deepest thirst. In this communion of souls, in the quiet of our hearts, let’s journey together, each step a verse, each act of love, a stanza in the poetry of life, crafted in the image of the One who loved us first.
