Harmonies of the Sacred: Reclaiming Authentic Worship * #477

Harmonies of the Sacred: Reclaiming Authentic Worship In whispers old, through time's vast gate, Jeremiah's voice, both stern and great, Calls out to hearts grown cold and bare, Warning of worship lost in air. Through temple's noise, amidst the crowd, Stands Jesus, bold, his message loud. With righteous fury, tables turned, A sacred space from merchants spurned. These tales entwined, a tapestry spun, Of faith's true heart, eclipsed, undone. Not in the clamor of coins or rites, But in humble walks, and justice's lights. Echoing still, through spires high, A challenge to the church, to you and I. To peel back layers of hollowed creed, And find the pulse of true belief. In silent thought, let us engage, With ancient calls, from sage to sage, To cultivate a faith that's real, Alive, and pulsing, a love to feel. Let our journey hence, in grace unfold, Beyond the bounds of rituals old. With every act of kindness sown, A prayer, a testament, divinely known. In this sacred blend of now and then, May we forge paths anew, amen. Where worship's song, in purest form, Is lived, is loved, in calm and storm. Beneath the heavens, vast and wide, Let our lives, in grace, abide. Harmonies of the sacred, softly sung, In every deed, in every tongue. Written by Steven G. Lee (March 4, 2024)
