Empathy's Light: A Courageous Heart #534
Empathy's Light: A Courageous Heart
In the quiet of our being,
Lies a gift, unseen, unfreeing,
Empathy, a light unlit,
For courage, we often omit.
Life's essence, in truth, we find,
In service, in love, entwined,
To extend a hand, a heart,
In others' stories, take part.
"I have seen their need," he said,
"Three days, no bread, spirits dead.
To send them away, I refuse,
Lest their strength, they completely lose."
The divine whispers, bold and clear,
"For you, nations disappear."
A single life, a treasure grand,
For which the heavens would stand.
"He saved others," a mocking cry,
Yet, in his trial, truth does lie.
Sacrifice, a beacon bright,
In our darkest, consuming night.
Pray with hands empty, wide,
At your heart, let them reside.
Open, ready, to receive,
In empathy, courage, believe.
So let's embrace, with hearts unfurled,
This power to transform the world.
Through compassion's gentle might,
In each other, find light.
