Echoes of the Golden Rule In the walk of life, a beacon bright, "Do not to others what to you is spite." A simple creed, yet profound and right, "Do unto others as you'd have in your sight." This Golden Rule, a universal light, In Matthew's words, it takes its flight, The essence of the Law, shining ever so bright, God's command, our safeguard through the night. To understand, to follow, God's Will our kite, Not just in obedience, but in delight. Our hearts, the soil, His commands the rite, Planting seeds of righteousness, pure and white. John speaks, Matthew echoes, in gospel cite, Luke's voice, Paul's letters, in apostolic might, Galatians, James, a chorus so tight, The law of love, their common foresight.
