Crossing the Threshold: A Prose Poem of Faith #447
Crossing the Threshold: A Prose Poem of Faith
In the quiet spaces between heartbeats, we each bear the weight of an unseen cross, a silent testament to the roads we walk, each step a dance between shadows and light, right and wrong, life and whispers of death. This cross—our cross—is not merely wood and nails, but the very essence of choice, the sacred space where souls are forged in the fires of decision.
Amidst this eternal crossroads, a singular truth emerges, radiant and unyielding—the Holy Spirit. It simplifies the labyrinth of life to a single path, a beacon in the night. Here, at the precipice of everything we are, the question is not one of survival, but of faith. To choose death over life, not in despair but in a profound act of trust, is to embrace the infinite. No reasons whispered in the shadows, no justifications needed—only the pure, unadulterated leap into the arms of faith.
To shy away, to choose the path of least resistance, is to deny the very essence of our being, a soldier retreating in the face of the enemy. Yet, to stand firm, to welcome the cross with open arms, even if it means to fall, is to rise in the grace of Christ, a soul ablaze with the spirit of Jesus.
From the teachings of old, a voice calls out, a reminder that to "bear his own cross" is not a journey of suffering, but a declaration of allegiance, a willingness to follow into the abyss if it means to walk in the footsteps of the divine. And in His ultimate surrender, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit," lies the blueprint of our salvation, a path marked by sacrifice and unwavering trust.
For to bear one's cross and follow is the highest calling, a journey not of unworthiness but of profound courage, a dance with destiny at the edge of the abyss. Here, in the sacred space between breaths, we find our truth, our path, our cross.
This is not a tale of despair, but a song of hope, a prose poem of faith and courage, a testament to the power of following the path less traveled, where each step, each decision, is a leap into the infinite, a crossing of the threshold into the arms of eternity.
