Beyond Loaves and Fishes #479

Beyond Loaves and Fishes In Gospel narratives, miracles bloom, Desert flowers in tales of provision. Loaves multiplied, fishes defy doom, Not mere acts, but parables' vision. With Jesus, scarcity's script is torn, Five loaves, two fishes, a feast foretold. From insufficient, abundance is born, Divine alchemy, turning less to gold. Not about bread that merely sustains, But the Bread of Life, offering more. In Him, the hungry heart's quest attains, At His banquet, our spirits soar. These stories, a canvas of grace wide, Speak of love boundless, a table spread. Inclusivity, compassion's tide, A kingdom where all are fed. Disciples we are, called to partake, In miracles of trust, our loaves shared. His economy, our offerings make, In kingdom's work, we're lovingly ensnared. Let us walk where Jesus leads, In footsteps that multiply, that bless. Bearer of Bread of Life, our needs Met in abundance, our lives confess. In loaves and fishes, a mystery, In divine generosity, we find A call to live abundantly, In Christ's grace, boundless and kind. Written by Steve G. Lee (March 5, 2024)
