Vision Renewed: The Church's Journey Back to Its Heart #258
Vision Renewed: The Church's Journey Back to Its Heart
In the quiet dawn of reform, where ancient echoes meet modern cries,
A vision stirs, a gentle yet profound revolution,
Where the cloth of clergy weaves through the marketplace and chapel alike,
Cloaked not in riches, but in humility's grace,
A return to first love, to the carpenter's simple space.
In the fellowship of shared loaves, a community reborn,
Where every hand that clasps another finds strength in unity's form,
Clergy and congregant, side by side in life's ebb and flow,
In the sharing of burdens, in the joy and the woe.
The bi-vocational shepherd, skilled in craft and creed,
Walks the path of Paul, meeting both spirit and need,
A bridge between worlds, in the marketplace stands,
Offering blessings with work-worn hands.
Transparent as glass, the stewardship of grace,
Where every coin is counted in the light of faith's face,
And needs, not numbers, guide the provision's course,
In the spirit of the early church, a communal resource.
In the quiet spaces, away from the crowd's roar,
The clergy kneel, in solitude's shore,
Seeking not solace from the world's acclaim,
But strength from the One who called them by name.
Across the tapestry of this vision, threads of accountability weave,
A network of support, where none grieve alone,
For in the shared journey of faith, a brighter future is sewn,
Where every step taken is a seed of change sown.
This is the church reborn, in the image of its founder's heart,
Where every end is a new start,
And the vision of reform, from the ancient path not apart,
Is lived out in the prose of life, a living art.
In this sacred dance of giving and receiving,
The modern church finds its new beginning,
A pattern of the past, in the present revived,
In the beauty of this vision, the spirit of the church survives.
