Unity in Diversity: A Faithful Tapestry #194
Unity in Diversity: A Faithful Tapestry
In the heart's tumult, where racial currents blend,
"Grasp the now," they urge, "and the divides mend.
Unfurl today's tapestry, dark and light entwined,
Beyond stark divides, a clearer vision find.
Forget not binary chains, nor lines of contrast bold,
Where difference's foothold turns our hearts cold.
Weave instead a richer blend, unity in diversity,
A tapestry where differences mend in harmony.
Ancient wisdom whispers, from texts divine,
In Galatians' verse, a unity's sign:
'No Jew, no Gentile, slave nor free,
In Christ, all one, beyond what eyes see.
1 Corinthians repeats, with a chorus strong,
'One Spirit baptized us, to one body we belong.
Race, creed, transcended, in one Spirit we're immersed,
Our collective thirst, by one Spirit quenched.
These scriptures, like beacons, illuminate our path,
Toward a truth profound, in God's faith we bask:
Differences not barriers, but essence of our presence,
In shared faith, our collective essence.
Embracing this vision, with hearts and hands wide,
Bridging divides, in faith we stride.
Together, stronger, a unified band,
Overcoming divides, hand in hand.
