Guardians of the Greater Tapestry #196

Guardians of the Greater Tapestry In realms where rulers view their nations as mere lands, Their whims weaving laws, a capricious command. Military might, the clink of coin rings, Dominion stretches, as if souls are mere things. Teetering we stand, at a moral brink, Destiny's scroll, unrolled, makes one think. In towers of glass, power's corridors run deep, Where industry's captains, their self-gains they keep. Through shadowed deals, not fairness, they steer, Ignoring the star of the collective, I fear. At home, if parents see children as assets to mold, What of kinship, of spirits not sold? This tale whispers, through time it's told, Guardianship of land and kin must be bold. Not ownership's soil, but service's hands, Must nurture the bonds that true harmony demands. In self-centered tempests, where guidance is tossed, A thirst for true leaders, in turmoil, is lost. Not to self, but to others, our duties must flow, In the tapestry of existence, this truth we must know. Jesus's words, through time they echo, Kinship's bounds, beyond blood, they show. "Who are my mother, my brothers?" He asked, In Divine stride, our kinship is basked. "Love your neighbor," not just a moral claim, But the foundation of society, just and humane. In every decree, trade, and embrace, Dignity and respect must find their place. Thus, we're called to virtues that bind, Unity, peace, flourishing of all kind. Leadership and community, in love and service, Anchored in the Divine, our purpose, our focus. -Written by Steven G. Lee (February 3, 2024)
