Nourishment of Knowing #1290

Nourishment of Knowing Understanding others begins with knowing myself well, for the ability to know others sprouts from the seed of self-awareness. To truly know yourself, start with knowing Jesus Christ. As it is written, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Ro 12:2), "We are His workmanship, created for good works" (Eph 2:10), "Be renewed in the spirit of your mind" (Eph 4:23), "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us" (1Jn 1:9). Actionable learning emerges from the door of faith in Christ, where belief becomes understanding. "Do not be afraid," He said, "only believe" (Jn 20:15). "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (He 11:1). "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith" (2Co 13:5). "I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content" (Phil 4:11–13). "My food is to do the will of God and accomplish His work," said Jesus (Jn 4:34), and in this, we find our true nourishment.
