New Genealogy Since Jesus #1212

New Genealogy Since Jesus From Genesis, the tale unfolds, A lineage, timeless, in stories told— From Adam’s breath to Israel's rise, Through ancient dust where nations lie. Genesis opens ancestral trails, Tracing creation through valleys and vales, In chapters, the lineage mapped, Of tribes and peoples, a legacy wrapped. Yet, in the Gospels, a new name found, A lineage that shifts the sacred ground, Through Matthew’s pen and Luke’s sight, The Christ emerges, holy in light. Joseph stands in this earthly thread, Yet not as father by bloodline led; His steadfast role, the last of kin, As Spirit’s breath brings a new dawn in. Old Testament’s end, New Testament’s start, A lineage of faith grows within the heart, No longer bound by earthly ties, But spiritual kin through Christ’s eyes. “Who is my mother, who my kin?” With words that echo deep within, He calls forth family born of faith, United as one in holy grace. In John's vision, the Word made clear: "With God since the start, and now here." In Jesus, the Spirit and Word entwine, A new divine line through faith align. A lineage blessed, the promise true, In heaven and on earth, God's will to do— The new genealogy since Jesus came, A spiritual family called by name. Written by Steven G. Lee (May 7, 2024)
