Integrity Unveiled: Reflections on Truth and Simplicity #1133
Integrity Unveiled: Reflections on Truth and Simplicity
In the quiet whispers of Matthew’s gospel, we are cautioned—
live as you preach, lest your words fall empty,
a hollow shell of sound without substance.
Daily, we are called to knead the teachings into our pulse,
prayer, scripture, meditation—
a trinity of devotion, infusing the sacred into the sinew of our days.
Across the span of centuries, under the open sky,
Diogenes, with his philosophy draped as loosely as his cloak,
confronts the power of Alexander not with sword but with simplicity:
“Move aside, you block the sun.”
Such small words casting long shadows,
where a king’s might meets the calm of a philosopher's contentment.
This, then, is the mosaic we piece together—
from ancient texts and tales of sunlit moments—
that truth lives not in the grandeur of empires
but in the quiet corners of authenticity.
Each act of living true, a testament,
each day a step towards the light, unshadowed.
Let us carry this legacy—
the seamless weave of belief and breath,
the courage to embody the depth of our convictions,
where the greatest influence lies in the integrity of the self.
In this dance of days, may we live, may we love,
boldly, truly, as those who walk in the sunshine of their own making.
