In Sacred Communion #1246
In Sacred Communion
(A Journey Toward Sacred Grace)
In the realm where only God is deemed truly good,
A gentle voice queries, "Why do you call me good?"
Echoing through gospel valleys of truth and light,
Where perfection is divine, a sole sovereign right.
Lost souls at sea, in darkness, seeking the day,
Find the beacon of repentance to guide their way.
The righteous, too, must seek a grace that's divine,
To root deeply in sanctity, a line that aligns.
The rich, adorned in gold, weighed down by their chains,
Must shed the greed, embrace good—true wealth to gain.
Beware, the virtuous acts shaded by sin,
For God sees beyond facades, to the truth within.
To judge another is but to stain one's own soul,
Reflecting wounds self-inflicted, taking their toll.
Speak life, not disdain; kindness should be our creed,
Sowing gentleness where once grew judgment's seed.
In tempests and trials, when hope seems but a wisp,
Sing praises of mercy, in darkness let trust persist.
For even in our night's deepest, most fearsome phase,
God's love shines the brightest, deserving endless praise.
Walk forth with deeds that mirror the will divine,
Seeking His purpose, letting His truths align.
Thus, we strive not just for good, but grace profound,
In sacred communion, where true peace is found.
