Freedom's Path #1227

Freedom's Path (Love at the Cross) Fight poverty in addiction, not the poor, For God is justice, a light for the lost, And poverty, a shadow that devours the core. Seek justice; force without it becomes tyranny. Love mercy, walk humbly with God's grace, For freedom cannot exist without justice embraced. There's one path to Heaven on this earth, A Love at the Cross, binding us firm. Poverty in addiction scorches all it can touch, Consuming possessions, status, and titles alike, A hunger unsated by wealth, power, or drink, Its grasp turns joy into ash at the brink. Create New Culture, find the Cross as a shield, Or face the chains that bind us to despair. For those who surrender to empty indulgence May find themselves caged in a slavery of greed. Yet, brothers and sisters, we are called to be free! So let freedom be love, and love our humble creed. The law is fulfilled in this one command: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." If we bite and devour, we shall destroy each other, Leaving ruins where love should have thrived instead. The Cross still stands, and Love is the path— Hold it close as we rise, for freedom’s ahead.
